Don’t confuse the ability to construct well formed, grammatically correct sentences from properly spelled words with creative writing.

For that, you need imagination, a deft turn with descriptive prose, a whiff of poetry — at best, I’m a good technical writer, capable of rendering factual things concise (well, not always… I do run on) and comprehensible.

And I way too damn slow at writing anyway… the perfectionist thingy keeps me going back and fine tuning. I’d be turning out pieces of creative writing about as often as a politician announces during an election campaign that they’re planning on raising taxes.

Now K, on the other hand…
